Broadcasting (Games of National Significance) Amendment Bill (No 2)

A Bill in the name of NZ First MP Clayton Mitchell drawn from the Ballot on May 17, 2018. It is identical to a Bill voted down in the last Parliament with just NZ First and the Greens in support. It would define in law games and sporting events that must be broadcast live on free-to-air television. Awaiting first reading. On August 8 Mitchell withdrew his Bill and by leave replaced it with the Broadcasting (Games of National Significance) Amendment Bill (No 2). It makes a number of drafting changes but the thrust of the Bill remains the same. Bill discharged.
