Severe Weather Emergency Recovery Legislation Bill

Introduced on March 17.  The second Bill in response to the heavy rain events in the upper North Island and Cyclones Hale and Gabrielle in January and February 2023. Makes temporary amendments to the Resource Management act and other legislation to allow emergency responses for rebuilding and other matters. First reading on March 28 with Act opposed. Sent to the governance and administration committee for shortened consideration. Reported back on April with a number of amendments and passed through all remaining stages on April 6 with Greens, Act and Te Paati Māori opposed.
