The Bill reforms the Unit Titles Act 2010 including amendments to the information disclosure regime to prospective buyers of units, strengthens body corporate governance arrangements to increase the professionalism and standards of body corporate managers, and to ensure that planning and funding of long-term maintenance projects is adequate. First reading on March 10, 2021 with the Bill now in the name of Nicola Willis. Supported by all parties and referred to the Finance and Expenditure Committee. Reported back on Dec 3 with a large number of changes, notably to the pre-purchase disclosure regime and the body corporate governance provisions. Second reading completed on April 6 with the Greens opposed. Third reading completed on May 4 with all parties now in favour.
